Not Difficult, Just Different: 5 Steps to Exporting

Being held in Doncaster on November 13, it is aimed at entrepreneurs looking to take their first step in exports, businesses wanting to get top tips on expanding overseas operations or for anyone wanting to meet valuable contacts who can share their expertise and global networks.

Three top exporters to help Doncaster firms conquer the world

The Vulcan is one of Doncaster's most iconic attractions and is recognised across the globe. On November 13, under the shadow of its wings, local business leaders are being invited to learn how they too can span the globe by getting international trade tips from three of the borough's top exporters.

From helping to shape the future of arguably the world's most famous museum to creating parts for the next generation of the nuclear reactors, Doncaster's expertise is already being called on by a host of nations around the globe.

But, many of the borough's businesses are not yet tapping into a world of opportunities by breaking into international trade and three of Doncaster's leading exporters are coming together at a free breakfast event to share their experiences and offer some top tips for companies considering overseas markets.

Those attending will get unique insights into how they can find success on foreign shores and will hear how they can follow in the footsteps of their neighbours and seize a wealth of international opportunities. Guests will also get the chance to tour the Vulcan exhibit.

The event is part of a joint initiative between UKTI Yorkshire and Humber and the Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership and aims to help grow the Doncaster economy by helping every business fulfil their export potential.

Being held in Doncaster on November 13, it is aimed at entrepreneurs looking to take their first step in exports, businesses wanting to get top tips on expanding overseas operations or for anyone wanting to meet valuable contacts who can share their expertise and global networks.

The companies speaking at the event will be:

Pacy Wheatley – Construction business Pacy Wheatley has an impressive CV of global clients and work has included major refurbishment programmes for the Bank of England and Cairo Museum. It exports its expertise in installing specialist acoustic products and is currently embarking on ambitious plans to further increase its export markets.

Noel Village – The foundry business exports high-integrity steel products to customers in the oil and gas sector around the globe and is a recognised world leader in the field. It is now targeting the lucrative nuclear sector and, with the help of UKTI, has been included on the preferred supplier list by nuclear power plant builder EDF.

World Feeds – Manufacturing animal and aquatic food at a specialist plant in South Yorkshire, World Feeds has already won a number of awards for its international trade expertise despite only having a short history. The business exports to 35 countries and recently secured investment for major expansion plans.

It's a unique opportunity to get valuable insights into conquering exports and the UKTI's expert team of advisors will also be on hand to advise on the support and guidance available to businesses in the town.
